# Claude Code can now show you how basically any app works, and how you can recrea

An X post explaining how to install and use REA (morluto/rea) inside Claude Code, with prompts to set up Node.js 22/24, Ghidra and Java 21+, then ask about how a specific app feature works and build a similar feature. It also warns that fake trojanised copies appeared and to install only from the official repo.

## Description

The post presents a three-step workflow: paste an install prompt into Claude Code (install REA from the official morluto/rea repo, verify Node.js 22 or 24, run the REA setup, install Ghidra and Java 21+, and connect them), approve the setup changes and restart Claude Code, then ask about a feature such as "Understand how search works in [app], show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project". The author frames REA as an open-source tool that reached #1 on GitHub and notes that fake copies with trojans appeared during the hype, so users should only install from the official morluto/rea repo.

## Original README

Claude Code can now show you how basically any app works, and how you can recreate it...

It's called REA, an open source tool that hit #1 on GitHub this month

Basically, you don't need an app's source code anymore to understand it. You ask Claude how a feature works, and it shows you how

Here's how i'd set it up:

Step 1: paste this into Claude Code:

“Install REA from the official morluto/rea repo. Check that I have Node.js 22 or 24, run the REA setup for Claude Code, then install Ghidra and Java 21 or newer and connect them to REA. Tell me when I need to approve something or restart”

Step 2: approve the setup changes and restart Claude Code

Step 3: ask about one feature, for example:

“Understand how search works in [app], show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project”

Way better than guessing how something works from the outside

One thing to note: fake copies with trojans showed up during the hype, so only install from the official morluto/rea repo
