# I Tested The Viral Reverse Engineer Anything GitHub Skill (Step By Step Tutorial)

A step-by-step YouTube tutorial on installing the REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) GitHub skill into Claude Code and using it to analyse an app, with a demo that analyses the open-source Excalidraw website and rebuilds a simplified version.

## Description

The video walks through installing REA (github.com/morluto/rea) into Claude Code, explains what the skill does, and demonstrates it on the open-source Excalidraw website, where REA's analysis is used by an AI coding agent to build a simplified clone. Ghidra is also installed for optional native-binary analysis, though the author notes it was not needed for the website demo. Repository link and setup prompts are provided.

In this video, I have shown you a step-by-step process about what the REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) skill is, which is the most viral and trending GitHub repository of the day. People are using it to literally reverse engineer major apps and use them inside their own apps.

In the video, I have shown how you can install REA, which is Reverse Engineer Anything, into Claude Code. I have shown how you can set it up and how you can use it to reverse engineer any app, backtrack it, and understand each and everything about it.

This is a complete, full-packed tutorial in which I have shown you the basics of REA, what exactly Reverse Engineer Anything is, with some examples, and how you can use it. Quick clarification about Ghidra: In this video, I install Ghidra alongside REA. Ghidra is used for native binary analysis, (Native binary analysis means examining a compiled program such as an .exe file or a Mac app’s executable to understand how it works without its original source code. Ghidra helps turn machine code into a more readable representation that can be analysed.) but it wasn’t used or required for the Excalidraw website demo shown here. In this demo, REA helped analyse the website, and the AI coding agent used those findings to build a simplified version.
