REA: Reverse Engineer Anything —
REA(Reverse Engineer Anything)のウォークスルー。

REA: Reverse Engineer Anything — What Is It?
REA, short for Reverse Engineer Anything, is an open-source (MIT) tool that lets your AI coding agent investigate how a program works, even without its source code. It connects agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor through MCP to analysis tools like Ghidra, Hopper and IDA on your own computer, and returns evidence: files, functions, assembly or pseudocode, and which part calls which.
To start: pick software you wrote or are authorized to analyze, install Node.js and npm, run npx rea-agents setup, review the changes it proposes, restart your agent, and ask one small question.
In this video: the opening clip is chasm's Modern Warfare 2, Skate 3 and Minecraft mashup, built on IW4L, a rewrite whose documentation credits reverse engineering with Ghidra and AI-written code, not REA. Then we run REA's JavaScript analysis on a small game we wrote, look at ucodia's port of a 2000 freeware toy that they say used REA, sort out PhotoCraft and AnyPS5, and cover limits plus the rights, access-control and privacy questions to check first.
