After the Adobe Clones: Can REA Really Reverse Engineer Anything?
"Software is over"? Not quite. Reverse engineering gives you the logic, not the source code.
In this video: what REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) is, how to set it up with Claude Code as an MCP server (Node.js, JDK, Ghidra), what reverse engineering can and can't do, and a real experiment on Command & Conquer: Red Alert, checked against EA's GPL source code. 7 of 8 claims were exactly right. The one miss shows exactly where AI still needs you.

Rebuild functionality, not decompiled code. Art, text and trademarks stay with their owners. Game screenshots: Command & Conquer Remastered Collection (Steam / EA), used for commentary. The Adobe clones mentioned are the ArtCraft open-source alphas by Brandon Thomas; this video does not claim they were built with REA.
